Crafty Tuesday... Curls, Curls, Curls!!

So a few days ago my Nanna bought me these vintage curling things, most likely from the 60's... the thing is i'm not sure what they are called... or i would tell you. i have never used them before, but tonight i decided to try them out. the full story is we thought today was Monday all day, so we didn't have a craft to show you, and it just so happens that tonight i was curling my hair tonight! so i will show you a few pictures of how to do it.......

A Teacher

A Principal/Teacher for a Christian School 
6 Who was the biggest Teen Idol at that time?
The Beatles, Hands Down...
7 What was Christmas like?
Christmas was always fun, growing up in a Greek household it was like...Mmm... My Big Fat Greek Christmas, My mom baked for two weeks for the Christmas party in our basement. Christmas day was like... Open presents at Six in the morning, Open out Christmas stockings and eat all the goodies, and watch TV and sneak more baked goodies from the kitchen while Mom and Yia Yia started Christmas diner, then my Cousins, Aunts, Uncles and Old Greek Frineds of my Grandma's started coming in. and what was your favourite gift of all time?
My favourite gift was a new Bike, Blue and Very Cool! with a big basket in front and these cool, blue, hot pink and white streamers that slipped onto my handlebars.
8 What was your Social Status in Jr. High?
Super Geek/Smart Girl.. Teachers loved me, i designed and made a lot of my own clothes, Jumpers were totally "In" and girls loved what i made.
9 Who was your Best Friend?
My Best Friend was Jamie Jackson, She had the same last name as me, but we weren't related, we were true Kindred Spirits, i spent almost every weekend at her house with her Family, they were a christian family and they loved me! i went to their Youth Group sometimes, and i had a crush on her older brother (that was before Al) lol!
10 Who was your Role Model
Role Model... first thing that comes to mind is 'I Love Lucy'... My Yia Yia (grandma) was one of my biggest role models, she lived her life out loud before me every day, she raised me the first five years of my life and was the softest spoken person i have ever met, there was a peace and love that hone through her every day.
11 What was your Favourite thing to do
Favourite thing to do.... READ! i could live in books... i like to Cook and Sew, real party animal huh? 
12 How do you describe your style then?
My Style back then... there were two styles in my school, Greasers or Frats... greasers were the kids who wore leather jackets and tight black jeans, The girls had to have bleached hair all Ratted up. half of our school kids looked like something right out of Grease... the other kids "Frats" were wearing the new stuff that was coming out like, Plaid shirts and skirts, Swede shoes and Jumpers all earth colours, a lot of burgendys and pinks... i was a frat, a lot of plaid and pinks and burgendy, i had five pairs of swede shoes, all different colours but the same shoe.. lol!
13 What was your favourite genre of music and books... and what was your favourite book? 
i loved The Supremes (my fav) and all Mowtown Music, we called it soul music. living in Detroit that was what was HOT! i had Black and White friends and we used to line dance in the streets on the way home from school. I love books!

Today was a big/small fall festival in our little town, and i thought that it was friday the whole day... i got thrown off by something, haha! i have been trying to figure out questions for a new thing on the blog... we are going to be interviewing people about when they were 13 and what life was like... Help us think up the name for this little project by Commenting, also comment questions you would like to read about. and if you want to be featured on the blog ask and i'll send you questions.

Sarah- Today was Piotique. It is a mini-festival thing... We have some people in mind for interveiws. I only have two minutes left... Hope you  have had a good day/week/month/year/life! A couple seconds left so I'm posting...

Tattoo Friday... eeep

Jaydinn- this is the start of TATTOO FRIDAY!!!!! yay!!! and for the first post we will tell you about what we want for ourselves, and for future posts we will be interveiwing people about their tattoos, So i have wanted a tattoo like my whole life, i used to relgiously watch 'Miami Ink' and 'L.A. Ink' when they were having marathons on TLC, i want a colourful, cute tattoo... kind of like Elsie Larson kind of tattoo, like i want some sort of camera, or the word Mocking Bird on my wrist (a cute meaning is behind that :) i want a Union Jack flag... oh dear i could make a long list... be sure to check in next friday and every day of the week (except sunday) for Updates, Crafts, Fashion, Photography, Tattoo stuff and more...

Hailey- i am so SO excited about all of our first posts this week! TATTOO FRIDAY! I get giddy even saying it. Well, I want a tattoo really badly, I want something small on my arm/wrist and something on my fingers AND my foot. Haha! I want a simple tattoo on my foot and something more detailed on my arm or wrist. You can check my Pinterest if you want to see some pictures of what I would like. :)


Sarah- Well I really want a tattoo of something really simple, like a Bible verse or something on my wrist or even the word 'love' written really pretty on my wrist. I also want something simple but really cute and simple on my foot. I am getting quite distracted to my playlist on my personal blog right now... "Slide" is playing. Oooo! I just had the cutest idea: Right this second I thought of it, I want a really cute cartoon version of all of us on the back of my neck! But not quite the back of my neck more like right below my neck - the highest part of my back?  I'm not sure if that's the right words or not, but oh well! I, as well, am really excited about this blog! Enjoy!
