Happy Christmas!!

 So, It's 23 days till the big C.H.R.I.S.T.M.A.S... And for some reason i am extra excited about it this year! My Uncle Lonnie, Auntie Misty and my cousins Moriah, Eden, Isaiah and Liam are coming on the 21st, we haven't spend Christmas with them in years since we moved from Florida! Everything about christmas makes me happy, even commercials... this is an older one that they keep playing, but for some reason i love it...

Testing out stuff.

Just testing out the new signatures :) How has your day been? Today Hailey and I just laid in our beds and fixed some stuff here on blogger, it has been hard but it will be worth it, in a few minutes we will be heading to a soccer game, and that will be nice, today has just been kind of rainy and cloudy, but soon we will be heading to Florida to go to the beach and stuff like that, sorry if this is kind of a boring post... :)

Crafty Tuesday-Infused Water- Elsie Larson

The other day we were reading A Beautiful Mess and decided we wanted to try a recipe and we were thinking of what to make and i was like "Ooooh we should make Infused Water" So we went down to the garden in the dark (the garden is down a big hill) and we sniffed and sniffed until we found Mint, Aniseed, and not meaning to Strawberry Leaves... My Aunt gave Hailey and I some cute bottles and we put the stuff in... here is what we made. Try leaving it in the fridge over night or throughout the day... for the flavor to really come out.






This is Strawberry and Mint water SUPER YUMMY!



This is Strawberry, Aniseed and Apple water... also really Good!!



Thissss is Mint and Aniseed Tea... this is so fast and easy, just get either fresh herbs from your garden or from a store and simply boil hot water, put the herbs and sugar if you have a slight sweet tooth, go easy on the sugar and it's perfect for cold rainy days!! 

 

This is The Mint and Strawberry water in it's bottle ready for the fridge, it's really good for breakfast!



This is just plain Mint Water, this is just plain refreshing,  it's not too strong it was just perfect, yummy, yummy, yummy!



This is Mint and Strawberry Tea, with a slight bit of orange, really good!

Our Time All Together.

So, last month Sarah and I flew down to Nashville and Lala (Shallyn), Hailey and the Kids picked us up, i sat next to a sixty something year old woman who was obsessed with lipstick, she put it on every ten to twenty minutes, and the other woman was maybe twenty four, she had the biggest gold watch on that i had ever seen. plus i almost spilled a drink all over both of us. When we got to the Airport i was better than when we got on emotionally, We sat there for about ten minutes and then we saw them running, and i screamed and shot out of my seat and people were starring but who cared at that point, So we walked what felt like a mile down the airport halls, and Niah was running and yelling...(I'll never leave you Jaydinn! I'll never leave you!" it was so cute and everyone was giggling, then we got to the car and Lala asked us if we wanted to eat at the Hard Rock Cafe', Our answer was "YESS" we drove and talked and caught up, and then we parked and got out, and started taking pictures of everything, even though i had been to Nashville before i didn't really remember it, we spent all of our time in Franklin when we were in Tennessee, so away with hundreds of pictures, so we got to the Cafe' and there were revolving doors and Sarah got stuck in it!! it was quite funny! So us teenagers split the check and we got a side of yummy fries for each of us and chicken strips.... we were eating the chicken and i tried to put it down and i realized my fingers were like stuck to it, We are pretty sure they dunked them in glue before serving them to us... they were so tasty other than the glue! haha! so after that, we walked around and there were these huge iPad looking things and we "played" with them for awhile and went and took more pictures around the restaurant, let me just say... the soap in the bathroom smelled sooo good! We finished and went out and Sarah got stuck in the doors again! haha! we got to the car and Lala's keys were on the ground next to the car the whole time we were eating! scary! it was a long car ride back to the land, but we played games and had fun on our way, and we stopped at McDonald's to pee and get drinks, and a sweet hobo looking old man gave Hailey Monopoly pieces! it was really nice of him :) so after that Hailey and I were like having an "Excited Account" on our way to the land... We got out of the car and started freaking out... We ran around trying to find people and and no one was around, then we went to the barn and Tina said that they were having a camp fire down by Cody and Shilah's van, so we got excited and ran down there and saw Cody on our way down and we hugged him and said Hi, then we got to the fire and Aaron and Shilah were singing and playing music, and i wanted to say hi to Shilah but they were singing so i didn't, then she came over and talked to us and it was fun, then we all sang until we went to sleep, The next day we just kind of hung around and obsessed over Roses, Snow, Water, Feathers and Leather... that sounds really weird, but if you knew our minds you would know what i'm talking about ;) I'm pretty sure the next day was the walk, we drove to the Presby church and met up with some other people then we were off, we walked and walked, and at one point we thought that Cody was going to propose to Shilah so we were freaking out, but he did that a few days later, there is sooo much that i want to blog but i can't fit it in there... so i'll leave it up to the other girls to get the details of the pilgrimage in there, so the last day was the Post Pilgrimage Potluck and THAT is when Cody popped the question... earlier he Shilah went to Wal-Mart, and we watched him hang the banner... then it happend... watch the video at the top! I have to go now, more blogging later and more blogging for the other girls.

Glue Masqu

So, my Cousin and i decided to try a new thing... Elmer's Glue on our entire face, i read something about putting it on just your nose to get black heads out and stuff, so it worked... my face was super smooth and soft and such... :) it was fun!

Sorry About That... Monday Update

So, i guess we have all been busy, and haven't blogged very much lately, if i could have all the projects done and ready to go before the day comes that would be awesome, today is the Monday Update... hmmmmmm, yesterday we went on this Photo Walk with the local photography group and that was pretty fun, then we played a good game of Apples To Apples at youth group..... but the real excitement is, well two excitements are CHRISTY AND DANE ARE GETTING MARRIED IN FOUR DAYS!!!!!! and THE PILGRIMAGE IS IN TEN DAYS!! if you don't know who Christy and Dane are (Christy is my youth pastor, and Dane was a youth pastor at another church that we went to) They are very, very dear to my heart, and i'm going to be a complete and utter mess at their wedding, and the Pilgrimage is basically a bunch of cool hippies walking 45 miles on the side of the road to raise money for Nomad's Land... Hailey and I walked last year and that's how we became really good friends, So, i have two things that i want you readers to do for me....

Crafty Tuesday... Curls, Curls, Curls!!

So a few days ago my Nanna bought me these vintage curling things, most likely from the 60's... the thing is i'm not sure what they are called... or i would tell you. i have never used them before, but tonight i decided to try them out. the full story is we thought today was Monday all day, so we didn't have a craft to show you, and it just so happens that tonight i was curling my hair tonight! so i will show you a few pictures of how to do it.......

Christmas was always fun, growing up in a Greek household it was like...Mmm... My Big Fat Greek Christmas, My mom baked for two weeks for the Christmas party in our basement. Christmas day was like... Open presents at Six in the morning, Open out Christmas stockings and eat all the goodies, and watch TV and sneak more baked goodies from the kitchen while Mom and Yia Yia started Christmas diner, then my Cousins, Aunts, Uncles and Old Greek Frineds of my Grandma's started coming in. and what was your favourite gift of all time?
My favourite gift was a new Bike, Blue and Very Cool! with a big basket in front and these cool, blue, hot pink and white streamers that slipped onto my handlebars.
8 What was your Social Status in Jr. High?
Super Geek/Smart Girl.. Teachers loved me, i designed and made a lot of my own clothes, Jumpers were totally "In" and girls loved what i made.
9 Who was your Best Friend?
My Best Friend was Jamie Jackson, She had the same last name as me, but we weren't related, we were true Kindred Spirits, i spent almost every weekend at her house with her Family, they were a christian family and they loved me! i went to their Youth Group sometimes, and i had a crush on her older brother (that was before Al) lol!
10 Who was your Role Model
Role Model... first thing that comes to mind is 'I Love Lucy'... My Yia Yia (grandma) was one of my biggest role models, she lived her life out loud before me every day, she raised me the first five years of my life and was the softest spoken person i have ever met, there was a peace and love that hone through her every day.
11 What was your Favourite thing to do
Favourite thing to do.... READ! i could live in books... i like to Cook and Sew, real party animal huh? 
12 How do you describe your style then?
My Style back then... there were two styles in my school, Greasers or Frats... greasers were the kids who wore leather jackets and tight black jeans, The girls had to have bleached hair all Ratted up. half of our school kids looked like something right out of Grease... the other kids "Frats" were wearing the new stuff that was coming out like, Plaid shirts and skirts, Swede shoes and Jumpers all earth colours, a lot of burgendys and pinks... i was a frat, a lot of plaid and pinks and burgendy, i had five pairs of swede shoes, all different colours but the same shoe.. lol!
13 What was your favourite genre of music and books... and what was your favourite book? 
i loved The Supremes (my fav) and all Mowtown Music, we called it soul music. living in Detroit that was what was HOT! i had Black and White friends and we used to line dance in the streets on the way home from school. I love books!

Today was a big/small fall festival in our little town, and i thought that it was friday the whole day... i got thrown off by something, haha! i have been trying to figure out questions for a new thing on the blog... we are going to be interviewing people about when they were 13 and what life was like... Tattoo Friday... eeep

Jaydinn- this is the start of TATTOO FRIDAY!!!!! yay!!! and for the first post we will tell you about what we want for ourselves, and for future posts we will be interveiwing people about their tattoos, So i have wanted a tattoo like my whole life, i used to relgiously watch 'Miami Ink' and 'L.A. Ink' when they were having marathons on TLC, i want a colourful, cute tattoo... kind of like Elsie Larson kind of tattoo, like i want some sort of camera, or the word Mocking Bird on my wrist (a cute meaning is behind that :) i want a Union Jack flag... oh dear i could make a long list... be sure to check in next friday and every day of the week (except sunday) for Updates, Crafts, Fashion, Photography, Tattoo stuff and more...

Hailey- i am so SO excited about all of our first posts this week! TATTOO FRIDAY! I get giddy even saying it. Well, I want a tattoo really badly, I want something small on my arm/wrist and something on my fingers AND my foot. Haha! I want a simple tattoo on my foot and something more detailed on my arm or wrist. You can check my Pinterest if you want to see some pictures of what I would like. :)


Sarah- Well I really want a tattoo of something really simple, like a Bible verse or something on my wrist or even the word 'love' written really pretty on my wrist. I also want something simple but really cute and simple on my foot. I am getting quite distracted to my playlist on my personal blog right now... "Slide" is playing. Oooo! I just had the cutest idea: Right this second I thought of it, I want a really cute cartoon version of all of us on the back of my neck! But not quite the back of my neck more like right below my neck - the highest part of my back?  I'm not sure if that's the right words or not, but oh well! I, as well, am really excited about this blog! Enjoy!
